Officially a Mexican

Yes, it was hard to give up our personlised number plates, but it had to be done. We are now officially "Victorian's" I might lose my car now, it doesn't have my name on it!!!!

Our Turnaround Garden

This is where we planted 24 box hedge a few weeks ago. We had the edge put around to hold the mulch and water in. The two original rose bushes, 3 box hedge and the unidentified tree are now looking much healthier with lots of water (All recycled from shower/bath or washing)Oma and Opa said the tree looks like a Cherry Tree. We even have roses on the bushes!!!

The Girls

These two are always together. Forever laughing and sharing secrets that have the rest of us lost! They don't want to do anything else but be together!

The Golfers

Zac has Opa out the front playing Golf. The playing surface is proving a bit difficult, with balls hitting tuffs of weeds and heading in all directions!!!!! Opa even made a hole for them to putt into yesterday. Next they will be laying turf!!!

Easter Sunday

We went out sight seeing on Sunday. We went to Portland via Portland Strawberries where we bought 1.5kgs of strawberries to enjoy on our drive. We stopped at the lookout for some pic's, then onto Port Fairy. We picked up some fish and chips for lunch then headed down the road to Killarney Beach. We enjoyed our lunch on a rug on the grass in the warm sun. Kloe and Jarred enjoyed a play at the park, the girls and Zac played a game of cricket. We then headed to the beach. Enjoying some time walking and playing before heading home again. We ended our day with a fire in the backyard, toasting marshmallows. We all had a wonderful day!!

Ouch!!!!! Precious fingers get caught in the Door

Thursday was a cold, wet, windy day!! We spent the day getting ready for Oma, Opa and Lizzie to arrive. Just before 4pm we were on the way out the door to pick Chris up from work and then meet up with our visitors. Kloe was stepping out the door, holding onto the door frame and the wind slammed the door closed onto her tiny, fragile fingers. She just screamed!!!! I took one look at her middle finger and screamed too!!! "Micaela, quick grab something to wrap it in and hold it" Quickly jumped in the car, with poor Micaela struggling to put pressure on Kloe's hand. "Mum, I can't do this, I'm going to be sick". Let's just hope there was no speed camera's between here and the medical centre!!! 20 minutes later she was all stuck back together and bandaged. The middle finger cut through to the bone on the inside and the two smaller fingers have cuts on the top. The three fingers are all very swollen and blue. And yes, it was her right hand!!!
But I'm happy to report - all fingers are still swollen and sore but are mending well.

An Afternoon at the Park

It was a lovely afternoon on Wednesday and we enjoyed a picnic lunch at Lake Hamilton Park. The kids had a wonderful time playing and I managed to get some pic's of them all together!! Micaela even snapped a few of me and Zac.

Feeling the 'Cold'

It's getting cold here! This morning was 4 degrees when I was dropping Chris at work. A bit hard for the body to get use too. The top for the next few days is 19, even that is cool! Talk about extremes, we certainly don't do things by halfs. Jabiru is averaging low 20's overnight with mid 30's during the day. Certainly don't miss that never ending heat!!! But not to sure about this cold (Freezing!!!!!!!) either. Oh, I can't wait till winter!!

Look what I Got!

We came home from school on Friday afternoon and got a phone call saying Jarred had won a prize in the Kindy Easter Raffle. The lady dropped this off not long after. This managed to get a smile from Jarred. He has had a temp and not feeling to well, same bug as Kloe had earlier in the week.
Today was also the last day of school for this term. Kloe's class celebrated with a Healthy picinic at the Botanical Gardens with lots of games and a scavanger hunt. Micaela's Year 7 class was also there - not so healthy, with Macca's for lunch! Jarred was miserable all afternoon and didn't enjoy the outing at all!

Healthy "Chocolate" Afternoon Tea

Zac enjoying some of his prize, He kept the big one for later when Dad came home

Jarred wasn't complaining - chocolate would be one of his favourite things

Not a happy camper today! Came home from school not feeling to well. But still well enough to eat some chocolate!

The pic says it all!

Look what Zac Won!

Zac would have to be one of the luckiest people I know! He decided at the last minute to buy some tickets in the Easter raffle at school and won not only 1st prize but 3rd as well. Being fair he took 1st prize and they drew another ticket out for third. He happily came out of school carrying this basket of easter eggs. "I want the big one, but I'll share the rest. And Mum, you can have the basket and ribbon!"

Talking to the Cows

Micaela has 9 new friends. She goes out and talks and feeds the cows everyday. They see her and come running "MOO" "MOO" "Moo". It's so funny to see them walking in a line following her. A bit of cow slobber never hurt anyone!!

Homework

Micaela said the funniest thing the other day while doing her homework "I'm so almost finished I can feel the lounge" Definately one to be scrapped!!

My Little Helper "Dude"

Yesterday, Jarred and I were working in the garden. We were spreading pea straw on the garden and some blew in his eye. I told him we had to get him some of Daddy's glasses to put on. He thought he was so cool (Even if they were upside down!!!!)

Kloe in the Kitchen

As part of the healthy food unit at school Kloe has also been learning about food preparation. I think she cut 5 slices of cucumber and said her arm was to tired, I should do the rest!!!!

Introducing another addition to the Family

This is "Snowflake" the newest addition to our family. Mum said no to a bird, Dad said no to a bird. Now who do you think caught the gorgeous little finch that flew into our garage????? Oh come on Mum it's so cute!!! Can't we keep her? Can you believe it!!! Now wasn't it a fluke that we had Bluey staying with us and happened to have a cage to put it in. We also had Zac's friend Jack over and Jack happily informs us "We have a bird cage at home that we don't use"
So 4 children, 2 dogs, 9 cows and a bird!!
"Mum the bird looks so lonely, I think we should buy it a friend"

Bluey the Budgie

This is Bluey the budgie who is Kloe's classroom pet. All the children have the opportunity to take Bluey home for the weekend. Bluey came home with us on Friday and chatted away all weekend.
