Birthday Girl

It was Kayla's 15th Birthday yesterday. Her day started with us waking her up, singing Happy Birthday and bringing her pancakes in bed, complete with candle on top. She is not a morning person and wasn't too happy with the bright cheery wake up. She requested presents in the afternoon, it felt a bit strange not giving her, her present in the morning. She went to school with a lunchbox full of little surprises. She had two exams on her birthday, which she wasn't very happy about. During the day I did a few things, so when she got home she got a lovely surprise.

Oh My

I received my June LIMETART Kit today - I am still drooling over it LOL, I probably will be for some time. Trust me, you will want one. Philippa has an amazing ability, to put together these awesome kits every month.

Meet Cupcake and Little Moo

Cupcake is the black and white one and Little Moo, the almost black one. They walked right up to Jarred and Kloe on Sunday. They both got to pat them, you have never seen, two more excited kids. They are settling in really well - they haven't stopped munching!

I don't think I have posted a photo, of our other new additions. This is Aussie the Rooster. He is a pure breed Australorp - therefore his name.

and here he is with the other two new pullets. We have named them 'Oi' and 'Oi, Oi'

Moo Moo

Our exciting news today. Kayla and Zac bought themselves a cow each LOL! We really know they are country kids now. Chris saw them advertised yesterday, rang straight away and made arrangements to see them today. He told the people not to sell them because they were for the kids. Apparently their phone was running red hot. We have a friend who has a lot of cattle knowledge, that went out there to check them out. He couldn't believe the price they were selling them for. The kids paid $100 each. They are 5 months old and OMG they are so cute. Kayla has named her's Cupcake and Zac has called his Little Moo.

They have been hand reared, so perfect for the kids. I will try and get some photos tomorrow

All I can say is, these kits are jammed packed with goodies. I always use up my scraps and make some cards, while I have everything out.

Jarred and Kloe had a Walkathon on at school yesterday. Parents were invited to walk with the kids, so I went and walked. Jarred wanted to run with his friends, he told me I was too slow. So he took off in front of us. Kloe on the other hand was great the first lap around, then she slowed down with all her friends, because they were all tired. So I ended up walking with lots of other kids. One lap was 2km's, we had 1 hour to do as many as we could. Jarred did 3, Kloe did 2 and I did 3. It was a glorious day, the sun was shining and it was warm (well warm for Hamilton LOL!!) We then had a great BBQ lunch, put on by the parents club.

Mini Pizza Box

Today it's my turn again, at 3AS to post the Wishing you Wednesday project. I have used Kaisercraft What a Hoot PP and made a card and mini pizza box (thanks Di) You can find the instructions on how to make the box HERE. They are super quick and easy.

I'm still here

I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. The start of the month sees me very busy with Design Team commitments. A not so nice tummy bug has gone through most of the family (touch wood, I haven't got it YET!!!) and we have been very busy with other fun things like woodcutting, birthday parties, Auskick, swimming lessons, school activities, cadet camps and just life in general.

I will be back very soon, with a proper update with photos.

Once upon a time.............

This week

- Sunday we spend the day out woodcutting. It was a great day, we all came home exhausted. We plan on going again, when the weather allows us.

- The kids all went back to school, back to running around, making lunches, homework.........

- Zac was not happy about having to wear long pants, long shirt, a tie and blazer!!!! He got over it after three days of tantrum throwing!!!

- Jarred and Kloe started swimming lessons on Tuesday afternoons (an hour apart)

- Zac did cross country yesterday

- No creating this week, I am having a little break :)

The weather has been glorious and I have been enjoying the sunshine while it lasted. Cool change came through last night - we are expecting cold weather and rain for the next week. We desperately need the rain. I am hoping we actually get some.
