Week 5 Scrap that Ad

This week our ad inspiration was the Dove evolution ad. Criteria was to use a least one photo of yourself, the word beauty and a frame or billboard.

Scrap that Ad Round 4

Another Monday, another Scrap that Ad Challenge at Scrapz.Biz. This weeks ad inspiration is the Life be in it Ad's. The page had to include at least one verb,a calendar or time schedule

Cold, wet and windy with a touch of sunshine

It's been very cold, very wet and very windy. I know it's Winter and that is what you get here in Winter, but I am longing for warmth and sunshine. During the week we had one day - yes that is right 'One Day' that was sunny. Still icy cold, but sunny. The kids spent the afternoon outside. It's been such a long time, since I pulled the camera out and just captured everyday things.

Zac even got his bow and arrow out, for some target practise on a bale of hay.

And this little man is less another tooth, he is sending the tooth fairy broke.

Honey and Missy our cows. Look at those very fat bellies, there is babies in there. So exciting. They are due around Christmas time.

Another two new additions to the family. We have lost another two chooks in the last few weeks. They get old and get egg bound, not nice but it's become a fact of life for us all.

And Princess Lilly, this cat is the most adored and spoilt cat to live.

As some of you may have read, I got some very unkind comments on this blog, which made me rethink the whole blog thing. Yesterday I reopened the comments and this morning I woke up and received the most lovely comment, from someone I don't know. It made me smile and has given me some faith back in the whole online thing. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me such a beautiful comment. You have added some sunshine in my day xoxo

Kayla's Cushion

Kayla is doing textiles this semester, she didn't think it was really her thing. She has changed her mind :)

After a lot of research, she came up with this design and set about creating this cushion. She was thrilled with the results and so proud of her efforts. Next on her list of things to make, is a jacket and fascinator for the races.

Studio Calico Anthology

The latest DT challenge for Addicted to Craft was to use the new Studio Calico Anthololgy range. I want to say a big thank you to Deb, who had a little play with this photo of Zac. She does amazing things in photoshop - thanks Deb xoxo

This is my last challenge for ATC. I have decided to step down from my position on the design team. It was a hard decision to make, but one that I had to do for myself.

Happy Little Vegemite

Today is the start of Scrap that Ad Round 2 at SCRAPZ. This weeks ad is the famous Vegemite Ad. The criteria was to use a diamond, Vegemite colours and the word Happy.

I'm still here

I've just been taking a break from things and enjoying the school holidays with the kids. It has gone way too quickly for my liking. I love school holidays and having the kids at home. We went shopping today and the man in the shop told me I was mad, when I told him this today.

This months Build it up challenge for SCRAPZ are these super quick and easy mini pizza gift boxes. You can find all the instructions in the forum. Make one of these boxes and upload it in the gallery and you can have a chance of winning a $15 shopping voucher, you gotta be in it to win it.

My Minds Eye Lush

Our latest challenge for Addicted to Craft, was to use the new My Minds Eye Lush range and create a page using 5 pattern papers, gems and brads. You can see the girls other creations on the BLOG

Jarred will be 7 tomorrow, so I thought it was about time I used up these photos, that I have had sitting around for the last year. None of the photos were great, but they told the story.

More crappy photos but a very important story to tell. Zac performed in the school musical last year. It's so not his thing, but he did it.

Winter Woolies

Wool and I don't get along - well so I thought.......................

I was reading Sheree's blog and she had created some gorgeous crocheted items and added some links, to learn all the how to's. So armed with hook and wool, I went about teaching myself how to crochet. Well................... I spent a lot of time unpulling, re doing, unpulling and re doing. I was determined to get it. And get it I did. I was so pleased with myself. It's something I have been wanting to learn for a very long time. Thank you Sheree xoxo

Kayla then requested a beret. I had to learn a lot more crocheting techniques for this. She is thrilled with it. You can find the pattern HERE
And I made something for myself. You can find the pattern HERE. This one would be my favourite, it's really thick and warm. Just what I need down here, at this time of the year.
