New Years Eve

We decided to go into Huskisson for their family fun "New Years Eve entertainment and Fireworks" We arrived just after six. We enjoyed a picnic dinner of Chicken and Chips followed by icecream from the Mr Whippy Van. The kids were entertained with jumping castles, a pirate show and the playground. The breeze picked up and it got rather cool. There was a huge crowd waiting for the 9pm start of the fireworks. Due to the breeze the fireworks were delayed until about 9.20. We watched an amazing show of fireworks for 8 minutes (thanks to Uncles Joe's timing) Seeing as the Sydney Harbour ones only went for 10 mintues we didn't do to bad. Kloe was so frightened. She hates loud noises, she really wanted to be brave and watch, but didn't quite manage it this time. The 5 minute drive home ended up taking almost an hour due to the amount of people that were there. We made it home in time to celebrate 2008.

Christmas Morning

Cousins

We were so looking forward to catching up with everyone. Especially Jett and Ruby. The last time we saw Jett he was only a few weeks old. He is now almost three (time flies). And we have only ever seen photo's of Ruby. From the minute we arrived Jett came running out and all the kids just clicked. They had so much fun.

Ready to hit the road

Saturday 22nd, all ready to hit the road. We were due to drive from Hamilton to Albury and then camp the night in Albury. It poured with rain all day Friday all over Victoria. We started off with that in mind. Knowing that if we got to Albury and it was too wet, we would have to keep driving. We left home about 7.40am. We hoped to leave by 8am, so we were doing well and already ahead of schedule. It was a cold 10 degrees and raining as we left Hamilton. We kept swapping drivers about every 200kms. It was a real easy drive. As we were getting closer to Albury all the paddocks were under water and with huge black clouds behind us, we decided to keep going. We were only 1/2hour into our drive before Jarred asked "Are we there yet?". We gave Oma and Opa a call about 4.30pm telling them we would be there that night. We arrived at their place about 8.30pm. It took us a further 1/2 hour trying to park our trailer in their very tight street. Hello Sydney........we have arrived!
