For months we have been planning our Gold Coast holiday. We started counting the months, then the weeks and then the days. Finally it was time to escape the cold weather and enjoy some sunshine.
We spent a night in Geelong ready for our flight to Brisbane the next morning.
A very early morning wake up. We left a very cold and windy Victoria. We were so excited when the pilot told us it was a lovely sunny, 23 degrees in Brisbane.
Poppy was waiting for us when we arrived. We went and picked up our hire car and then headed off to DFO for some shopping until Chris arrived from Port Hedland. His flight was delayed and we spent a very long time doing laps of the airport. We finally got him and headed to the Gold Coast. A quick look at our apartment and the view and it was off to bed.
We woke to a beautiful, clear, sunny day. We all headed off to the beach for a walk and a play!! We then headed out to the Sharks Footy Club for lunch

On Saturday morning we meet this lovely lady and her family. We have been chatting to each other for many years and finally got to meet each other. |

Sounds like you had a fabulous time. I didn't know that you and Rach had never met IRL.
I had to giggle at Heike's comment. Most people don't know that. It felt like meeting up with an old friend, pity we had the family in tow LOL. Next time, it will have to be just us and a bottle of wine ;) xx
