Pinwheel Quilt

Yay it's finished!!! This quilt has been a work in progress for a few months. I broke all the rules of quilting. I made it up as I went along. Bought fabric and had to buy more, not once but twice. Experimented along the way, learnt a lesson or two, maybe even three. It's taken awhile but it's all done and I am really pleased with the end results.

Last night as I was stitching the binding, Kayla told me that Kloe wouldn't mind at all, if she had it. I really didn't think it was her 'thing' but she has fallen in love with it and really wants it. I don't think Kloe will be giving it up to her big sister, anytime soon. I think I will be making another one, very soon.

Trying to take a photo was not easy. The breaze wasn't helping

I gave up on this idea

I tried under the verandah and had to deal with another issue - The Dog!!! He rather liked the look of it too

Wet underfoot Wednesday

Ready for a day in the garden

This makes me want to cry. Due to all the rain we've had and a lot of frost, we've lost almost all our Lemon Scented Gums, that lined our driveway. We cared for these trees like babies and they decide to die on us.

Very wet and muddy paddocks

When we moved into our house over 4 years ago we were in drought. We didn't have one blade of grass. Now look at the mud!!

Baby Granny Stripe Blanket

I've started a new project to keep the hands busy while watching telly in the evening. We know a few people who are having bubba's, so I thought I would make a start on a handmade blanket. It's a 50/50 chance of it being a boy, right? I went with a stripe, to use up some of the wool I have here. I plan on making a girly one too.

Big $$$$$ Smile

December 2009 - Kayla went from this

To this. She was so proud of her braces and couldn't wait for the end results. (Can't believe how different she looks with blonde hair!!!)

This photo was taken yesterday. She had just got home from retreat and was tired. I have been meaning to take a photo for a few weeks. I insisted on it and I got the 'I will give you a forced smile'

The end result..............She is thrilled. It was worth every cent paid, to see that gorgeous smile.

Owl heat pack

A few months ago I made several heat packs. I donated all but one of these, to the Mothers Day stall at school.

Last night World War III broke out!! Kloe has been taking the heat pack to bed each night and Jarred decided he wanted a turn. Oh boy these two are sure learning how to argue!!! It went on and on and on. I told them, they had to work it out. Kloe ended up giving in and stormed off in a huff. Today I thought I would make her, her very own special heat pack. I filled it with wheat and lavender. It's sitting on her bed waiting for her to come home. This will probably start a new round of arguing................ I plan on making another tomorrow :)

Box Fun

These two, love nothing more than a good box or two. They love to sit and create all sorts of things. These boxes became houses, for their new soft Tigers, they bought from Dreamworld.
