Winter Woolies

Wool and I don't get along - well so I thought.......................
I was reading Sheree's blog and she had created some gorgeous crocheted items and added some links, to learn all the how to's. So armed with hook and wool, I went about teaching myself how to crochet. Well................... I spent a lot of time unpulling, re doing, unpulling and re doing. I was determined to get it. And get it I did. I was so pleased with myself. It's something I have been wanting to learn for a very long time. Thank you Sheree xoxo
I started with the Skull Cap, you can find the pattern HERE
Then got a little bit fancy
Kayla then requested a beret. I had to learn a lot more crocheting techniques for this. She is thrilled with it. You can find the pattern HERE
And I made something for myself. You can find the pattern HERE. This one would be my favourite, it's really thick and warm. Just what I need down here, at this time of the year.

You clever person!! I'd hate to think how my hats would turn out if I tried. People would probably have to have triangular shaped heads to wear them :D.

My fave is definitely Kayla's beret! It really suits her too.

You are soooo clever teaching yourself!!!! I had a friend around and it took me a whole afternoon (doh) until I finally worked it out! I am making a blanket! It will take a while before I am ready for the hats....they look too hard! lol
